Merseyside Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2004

The 2004 Shell LiveWIRE Awards showcased some of the region’s top business talent at Liverpool’s Pan-American Bar. Hosted by Business Link for Greater Merseyside, the top award of the night – Young Entrepreneur of the Year – went to Tom Dawes of Aerogistics.

Tom turned to Business Link for help getting his aerospace firm off the ground in August 2003. Now the Mossley Hill-based supply chain management company is working with a number of North West engineering companies to provide a world class one-stop-shop service to the aerospace industry.

Tom said:
"I am delighted to have won the award and can’t thank Business Link enough for the help they gave me. New avenues are opening up for me all the time and this will be a great way to develop the business further."

Runners up in the Young Entrepreneur Category were two Liverpool City Centre firms.
Music production start-up Virus Audio – already with a number of awards to their credit – was first runner up, followed by Sonalksis, developers and retailers of digital processing products for the music industry.
The LiveWIRE Progress Award went to entrepreneur Neil Norman of Human Recognition Systems.
